Underwrap

Sports underwrap/pre-wrap is used primarily as a barrier between the skin and athletic wrapping tape. This thin, soft material helps prevent skin irritation, chafing, and discomfort caused by the adhesives on the sports tape.. 

Underwrap can also be used to hold ice or heat packs in place, or to create light compression.

If you're a dancer who keeps strapping tape in your feis kit, make sure you stock up on underwrap too.
