Celtic Arch
Out of The Irish Dance Shop in Belfast comes the innovative new Celtic Arch brand, a jig shoe intended to help support and protect Irish dancers from injury.
The features:
METATARSAL SUPPORT BOARD – prevents over-roll of the ankle when landing – keeping the small metatarsal bones behinds the toes protected and supported.
HEEL SUPPORT – board under the heel bone creates structure for the foot, and a compressed support during toe work.
ARCH SPINE & STAR SHAPE – Creates the combined structure of compressed support when up on pointe, also allows the shoe to bend in the proper place to point toe with definition without stretching the sole. This is the magic that prevents the shoe stretching in length – it expands and contacts with the foot.
SHOCK ABSORPTION – thick layer of shock absorption takes the stress out of the hips, knees and ankles when landing – cushions the landing and delays fatigue, allowing the dancer to dance for longer periods of time.

The sizing of these shoes is based on UK street shoe size. Your foot should measure a few mm less than the length of the shoe - they will stretch in width but not in length. As always, please feel free to contact us for any questions!
We will offer a refund on the Celtic Arch jig shoes only in the following circumstances:
- It is within 30 days of the purchase date & they are in original condition
- They do not fit OR they break
